I am 32 and Head of Group Marketing at The Good Agency, a full service creative and advertising agency working for 'good' causes. I have been working in the charity sector for 10 years and I enjoy the marketing and creative aspects of my job.

I am keen to see fundraising and marketing techniques from all around the world.

  • Christian Aid Week inspires partner fundraising

    Christian Aid Week inspires partner fundraising - books wanted for community library Christian Aid partner, the Mundri Relief and Development Agency in Southern Sudan, has taken inspiration from Christian Aid Week and arranged for volunteers to collect donations and hold community fundraising events. In one week, in the small town of Mundri where the average person earns under $2 a day, they managed to raise over £4,000! The funds were spent on building the first community library, which is now in need of more books.

    The Sudan Team will be taking out a few books with them each time they travel to Sudan to support this fantastic initiative.

  • Jewish Care win award for fundraising appeal

    Jewish Care have just won an award for their Rosh Hashanah fundraising appeal. See below for the details.

    Name: Jewish Care post-it campaign.

    Category/area of fundraising: Direct mail and press.

    Summary/objectives: To persuade members of the Jewish community to support Jewish Care.

    Background: Jewish Care is the largest health and social care organisation serving the Jewish community in London and the south east of England. They run over 70 centres and services, caring for more than 7,000 people every week. They work right across the community, with both young and old, and provide care regardless of the level or nature of an individual’s religious observance. In doing so, their care recognises people’s differences as well as their similarities. By using post-it notes in the press advertisement, they show dramatically what it feels like to have dementia, as well as describing how Jewish Care is helping people who have this horrible disease and their carers. The leaflet tells the very moving stories of two families.

    Costs: c. £33,000.
    Results: ROI of 6:1; raised £200,000

  • The face to face team

    The Fundraisers Fund team have just trained the Support Direct face to face team to recruit new donors to the Fundraisers Fund.

    The face to face team will be talking to all the IFC delegates during the 3 days about the fund and will be signing up new donors.

  • Promoting Fundraisers Fund

    We are close to having our marketing materials ready for the public launch at IFC. They are looking great. Please look out for us at IFC, we are Stand 5 in the Atrium Lounge.
